The challenge for Marvel Comics: How do you enhance, showcase and celebrate paintings of America’s most beloved superheroes created by the world’s most acclaimed and talented artists? The solution: Enjoying a designer’s dream using such beautiful imagery, the Marvel Masterpiece Card Set is truly a celebration of the inspiring, supernatural and dreamy nature of the works of art it features. Items included the card set itself, interior packaging, exterior packaging, POP display, advertising and sell sheets.

The challenge for Sweetzels Corporation: Take a hum-drum product like vanilla wafers and make it exciting, jumping off the shelves to consumers! The solution: Painstakingly take beautiful photography coupled with great typography that “pops” and create a very attractive package.

The challenge for Mrs. Smith’s was to take a successful and sought after product, Mrs. Smith’s pies, and create an upscale, oversized, high-end pastry product that customers would be willing to pay a premium for, yet still maintain the home-cooked, traditional feeling of the brand. The solution: premium packaging, with hand-drawn lettering and traditional illustration is used to create the sense of familiarity and delicious extravagance, while letting the product imagery and ingredients sell itself.

The challenge for Maggio was to modernize and redesign labels for existing successful Maggio cheese product (mmmm, cheese!), keeping within all strict label requirements. The solution: while maintaining the tradition and overall look of Maggio product line, vivid but appropriate graphics were used to make the product standout on the shelf.
